Guten Tag! I’m Florian Tietz. After studying in the beautiful city of Potsdam, Germany - a vibrant academic center renowned for its baroque palaces, lakes, and a high concentration of scientific institutions—I went on to teach internationally. Over nearly seven years, I gained rich experience teaching German and other subjects in Australia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Today, I’m thrilled to launch my long-held dream: the Bredow Academy, named after my grandmother, who ignited in me a lifelong love for learning—fostered through creativity, joyful discovery, humor, and independent thinking.
Bredow Academy is entirely online and tailored for families seeking top-tier, personalized education. I create an environment that responds to each child’s unique interests and strengths and connects lessons to real-life experiences. The primary objective is to stimulate creative thinking and foster intellectual autonomy in learners of all ages via accessible and engaging online educational platforms.
While the main focus is German, we also explore other “learning landscapes” (Lernlandschaften)—like early science (Sachunterricht) and math—always woven into lessons that spark curiosity.

I recognize that the digital world plays a central role in education today. My responsibility is to ensure that children use digital tools in a healthy, balanced, and purposeful way.
Learning with me takes place online, but that does not mean endless screen time. Our sessions are short, focused, and interactive, designed to make every minute count. Outside of class, I encourage children to spend their time reading, moving, exploring, and learning in real life — not sitting in front of a device.
I integrate digital tools only where they add real value: for structured lessons, personalized exercises, and clear follow-up support. Every activity is carefully guided, ensuring that children benefit from the digital world without being overwhelmed by it.
My principle is clear: online learning should empower children, not consume them.

Micro-groups are very small learning groups with a maximum of 2–5 students. They allows me to focus on each learner individually while also boosting motivation through shared learning.
I make sure to create homogeneous groups whenever possible. That means students with a similar language level, age group, and learning goals are placed together. This way, everyone can learn at eye level without feeling under- or overwhelmed.
Learning works best in focused bursts. That’s why each lesson lasts 45 minutes – enough for real progress while keeping concentration high. Some students choose to book two sessions in a row, but even then a short break in between often helps to refocus and get the most out of the second lesson. Every session also comes with a 15-minute digital package of exercises, materials, and feedback, extending the learning beyond the live class.
The comparison is misleading: in a Micro-group, children receive high-quality teaching at an international level for a price similar to what a trainee might charge in a 1:1 setting. The difference lies in professional quality:
This means children benefit from a professional learning environment, while parents get far greater value than they would with a trainee/ intern.
In addition to premium 1:1 lessons (prices available on request), I also offer small group packages. These micro-groups allow parents to share costs while still ensuring high-quality, tailored learning. Many families find that group packages combine the best value with strong educational outcomes.
We recommend lesson packages that ensure consistent learning over time. My teaching always builds on the student’s personal interests while, where applicable, also connecting directly to the curriculum they follow at school. For example, if a student is learning German in class, I integrate those topics into our lessons. This way, progress develops step by step, lessons systematically build on each other, and structured follow-ups with continuous feedback make every child’s growth transparent and sustainable.
